Kejun Li, Independent Direct of CIMC Group, ex-President of China Classification Society

In May 1975, Kejun Li attained his Bachelor’s degree on maritime navigation in Dalian Maritime University, and stayed there as a navigation system navigation professional lecturer after graduation. In 1976, he went to study abroad in McGill University and University of Ottawa in Canada. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in Register of Vessel of the People’s Republic of China as the former director of surveyor, deputy department director, department director, and deputy director of the bureau. From 1988 to 1994, he was the vice president of China Classification Society. In July 1993 to 1997, he studied global economy in the graduate school of the Central Party School, and received his master's degree there. In 1994, he became the managing director and vice President of China Merchants Group Co., LTD. In 1998, he studied senior management in Harvard University Business School. He was appointed the director, president and chairman of China Classification Society from Jan 1999 to Dec 2011. In July 2005, he started his career as the vice president of the International Association of Classification Society.
