Lan Chen is the Chief Engineer of the China Energy Construction Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute (GEDI). Mr Chen has worked in GEDI for more than 25 years. He has been an electrical engineer, chief designer, deputy head of group in power generation department, and electric control room director. He has accumulated much experience in different working areas. Since Dec 2004, he has undertaken a technology managerial role. As the manager for some major projects, he accumulated significant practical experience. Mr Chen is dedicated to promoting the application of Carbon Capture and Storage technologies, and has a good understanding on how new technologies may address pollution issues in China.
