The project Preparation for CO₂ Pilot Injection in Pearl River Mouth Basin (PRMB) is funded by the UK Strategic Programme Fund (SPF). Based on published reservoir geological data, research on project suitability and potential for CO₂-EOR was completed in PRMB. The preliminary analysis shows that geological conditions of oil fields in PRMB are suitable for CO₂-EOR, but technical and economic feasibility status requires further evaluation.
